6/11/2019 0 Comments June 11th, 2019Our First Turkeys Arrive via The Eggshell ExpressTurkeys are like ducks for hatch times. They take 28 days to complete their incubation sequence. Temperature, humidity, and rotation have to be steady and consistent else the budding babies fade and expire in shell. Our recent hatch yielded 3 tiny turkey poults. The first one arrived unaided while the additional pair were pulled from their shell out of concern for their well being.

3/26/2019 0 Comments March 26th, 2019This is a Crazy Egg hatch. The possibilities are endlessly cute! Turkens, EE, Marans, Red Rangers, and more...
Our early March hatch was moved outdoors this week. They are fully feathered and very active! It was time for them to meet the flock and enjoy some outdoor activity. Not every set of Crazy Eggs produces this set, but it is highly likely. Requests may be made on substitutions in the set. The Crazy Egg dozen generally contains 2 blue, 2 dark brown, 2 white, and 6 assorted light brown eggs. 2/19/2019 0 Comments Spotting a Bad EggThis egg shows a bloodring on its interior. This is never a good sign. It often means the developing chick has expired and bacteria is quickly making its way through the contents of the egg. Toss these eggs when you see them. Toss them in the trash, not at your friends. *wink*
2/19/2019 0 Comments Candling EggsCandling eggs is easy if you have a bright enough light source! I finally found a strong enough light to see into the mystery of a hatching egg. This is my latest hatch batch. There is strong veining and the forming chicks are showing. This is week one in incubation. Seeing the veining is a sign your eggs are viable and well on their way to life outsude the shell.

Any questions about our eggs may be sent via text or phone call. Have an eggcellent day!
